Rome

My only foray to Rome was as a transfer point at the airport a few times, but Megan and Audrey both traveled to Rome as part of the International School of Stuttgart Field Trip program.  The 6th grade curriculum studied ancient history with a focus on the Roman era, and the classes climaxed a spring study of Roman culture with a week-long field trip to - you guessed it - Rome! They had a great time, visited the colosseum and lots of Roman ruins, did a side trip for a day to Pompeii southeast of Naples, and generally had a wonderful time soaking up the Roman culture, art, and history.
