Fruit Basket
This basket of fruit was set out on a picnic table in a pine grove for a company picnic, and the dappled sunlight through the trees caught my eye.

Wooden Table
This backyard picnic table was on our friends' patio in Woburn one autumn afternoon. The oak leaves were beginning to dry up and fly on the wind, the tomato was being taken in because of a threat of frost, the geranium was being left out because it is a hardy plant, the bowl had filled with rainwater from a morning shower, and I don't know why the bottle was there. No setup, no prep time, I just snapped the photo as I was walking by

Frosted Pumpkin
We had an early dusting of snow that year, soon after Halloween. The pumpkins had not rotted on the steps as they usually do, but were firm and sharp as the day we bought them. The half-inch or so of snow was wet and doomed to melt quickly, but I caught this shot about 30 minutes after it had stopped snowing. It was still cloudy and a bit foggy, so the diffuse light made the snow stand out all the more.
