      Hi Gene,

I'v just been talking to Bert and Joan in Ballyhemicken. The last surviving member of the Mc Grath family next door to Mickey's in Knockbrack is being buried tomorrow. She was one of the eldest of that big family--Sally, who lived in london for probably the last 40 years She was married to Mossie Carroll from Banemore--an uncle of the Lovetts--who pre-deceased her by some 20 years. She was a lovely lady and was last in Kerry probably 5 years ago. I believe she was 96 years old.

It was only this evening that I got into the e-mails from Tom--the ex-pat. Sounds like he is having a good time in the UK. Where does he fit into the family? Is he Chris Mc Grath's son?

We are counting down to St. Patrick's day on Thursday. I plan to travel to kerry on Wednesday--I haven't been down since Christmas and it will be good to catch up with the family.Hope you all have a good St.pat's day--do they do green beer in Boston?

      Lots of love to all,

      Mary
