Hand-Mixed Concrete (Early July 2002)

It might have been a back-breaking mis-calculation (they have machines to do this), but I hand-mixed all my concrete for the footings in this mixing trough. I'd mix 2 or more 80-lb bags per footing, one at a time with a hoe, and then shovel and trowel the wet cement into the sonatube, tamping it with a piece of 1x2 wood.
