First Outer Footing Hole (Late May 2002)

Once the mid-deck footings had been poured, I began on the outer deck footings which were replacements for the rusted iron support posts. In order to be able to use the deck as a deck during the reconstruction, I needed to replace the supports I was removing with temporary supports, so I used the 6x6's that would become the permanent outer posts as temporary posts during the process. Here is the first pole removed, a footing hole dug, and a temporary post.
