Mom's Graduated!

In case you didn't know it, Lynn has graduated from the three-semester alcohol and substance abuse counseling certificate program at Middlesex Community College. She took 3 courses per semester, with the 2nd and 3rd semesters including an internship at a local women's treatment facility. They promptly offered her a job once her internship was complete, and she accepted!! Her courses were challenging, and the internship has been an eye-opening and challenging experience.

She did very well academically (Dean's List all three semesters), and has made great strides in her internship work. It was quite an adjustment for us all while she was in school, but most of all for her. Her classes were at least 2 nights a week, and her internship and additional paid hours easily made up a half-time+ employment situation. Our usual routine was adjusted to accommodate this change, and the girls and I tried to give her the encouragement she so richly deserved. She has chosen a difficult path to follow, and she's following it with aplomb.
