VOGT Family Reunion - June 1997

In June 1997 we had a repeat of the September 1995 Reunion. In between 1995 and 1997 we had found more cousins, and had extended the VOGT line back to Jean Nicolas VOGT in Mainz. Not as many people came to the 2nd reunion (48 vs 65), but there were some new faces that had not made it to the previous get-together.

My sister and I completed a self-published spiral-bound book in time for the reunion, titled "A Work In Progress; A Register Report of the Descendants of Jean Nicolas VOGT." We sold out of first-edition copies at the reunion so we had a second printing and mailed out more copies later. It is a 150+ page book documenting nine generations of VOGT descendants. In it we list (in NEHGS Register format) all the known descendants of our earliest known VOGT ancestor, Jean Nicolas VOGT. There is also a copy in the permanent collection of the NEHGS Library in Boston.
