German Exchange Program - October 1996

For a number of years Woburn High School has sponsored a student exchange with students from the northern city of Bremen. In October the German students come to Woburn, and in April some of the American students go to Bremen.  We offered to host a German student for a number of reasons, not the least of which was our experience living in Germany for four years.

In October 1996 Björn Niemann came to live with us for three weeks, and we enjoyed his company immensely. He was fun, witty, and a pleasure to have living with us. We have kept in touch via email with Björn and his friend (and fellow exchange student) Tim Hartwig, and we hope to have them visit once again this summer on their American vacation!

Here are some photos of the visit.......
