Striking a Bargain.....

On the grounds of Kilmalkedar church near Cloghaneduff just off the Slea Head road is an ancient ogham stone with a hole in it. It was the Bargain Stone. When a bargain was struck between two people, instead of shaking hands, they would touch fingers through the hole in the stone, in sight of the church (and therefore in sight of God).
